The hurdle ahead has many eyeing the 23 year old actress, singer, and producer to see if she can do the difficult task of successfully crossing over from Disney television starlet to serious actress. On her upcoming sophomore album:

It’s definitely edgier and different from my first album. I’ve co-written three songs, and every song that I sang was for my fans to get to know me as Ashley. This one is more rock. It’s pop rock.//I’m excited because it’s totally different than the first one. It’s kind of shocking.
